Donated blood is a valuable and scarce resource that is essential to support a wide range of routine and emergency healthcare procedures.
However, autologous blood transfusion has proven clinical benefits compared to the use of donated blood. Intra-operative Cell Salvage (ICS) is a well established blood recovery technique in which blood lost during surgery is recovered and re-infused back into patient either during, or immediately after, surgery.
Our technology aims to further enhance this technique.
